Peterborough Panthers have been told they cannot use Adam Roynon next season.

The Panthers named Roynon as one of their double-up riders for next season.

However, the BSPA have ruled that Roynon is inelgible to ride as he did not make an appearance in the Premier League last season.

Roynon was injured during a pre-season get together with Great Britain when he suffered serious head and neck injuries.

Now fully recovered, Roynon hjad hoped to ride for the Panthers in the Elite League and Workington Comets in the Premier League.

Peterborough are unhappy with the ruling and have vowed tob fight the decision.

"We feel it would be inappropriate to comment on the decision at the moment," Peterborough director of speedway Peter Oakes.

"We will pursue every possible avenue to have the decision reversed."
