Poole Pirates extended their lead back to seven points at the top of the Sky Sports Elite League after a comfortable 56-33 win over Lakeside Hammers.

The meeting at Wimborne Road only went to heat 14, but the last heat was not needed as Poole had already done enough to seal maximum points.

World Under-21 champion Darcy Ward top-scored for the infallible Pirates with 10+1, indeed he was the only Poole rider to finish with double figures - although there were plenty of excellent displays.

Bjarne Pedersen (9+2), British GP winner Chris Holder (9), Artur Mroczka (8+1), Davey Watt (8+2) and Jason Doyle (8+1) all scored heavily.

Arguably the star turn on the evening was Lakeside guest Chris Harris, in for the ill Lee Richardson, as he scored a 15-point maximum which included a tactical win.

But with Harris scoring nearly half of Lakeside's points it was a poor evening on the South Coast side, who remain third in the league.
