Peterborough look on course for a play-off spot after a convincing 57-35 win over champions Wolverhampton.

The Panthers remain in fourth but the maximum haul takes them five-points clear of Belle Vue Aces in fifth.

Peterborough dominated throughout and were led home by Niels Kristian Iversen with 13 points, but there was powerful back-up throughout with Kenneth Bjerre (10+1), Troy Batchelor (10) and Rory Schlein (9+1) all scoring heavily.

Wolves, who are in second and will be in the end of season play-offs, had a poor evening with the exception of Australian Ty Proctor, who claimed paid 13.

Panthers team boss Trevor Swales said: "What's so pleasing is that everyone is scoring points, from top to bottom.

"Wolves are a tough team but we brushed them aside and there's a growing confidence among the team."

Eagles win

Peterborough are also now within a point of Lakeside Hammers - who were comfortably beaten 53-40 at Eastbourne.

The Eagles, who are themselves now ten-points clear of bottom placed Ipswich, were in fine form at Arlington.

Swedish reserve Simon Gustafsson top-scored with paid 14, whilst number one Matej Zagar was also in good form with 12+1.

Lukas Dryml (11) and Cameron Woodward (9+1) also scored well as Eastbourne dominated proceedings on the South Coast.

Former Eastbourne stars Lee Richardson (13+2) and Kauko Nieminen (7+1) scored half their points as they failed to get anything from their trip.
