Pedersen: Ruled out
Nicki Pedersen is set for around six weeks on the sidelines due to his shoulder injury.
The three-time world champion crashed earlier in July during a league meeting in Poland, but the problem is worse than previously thought.
Pedersen has actually broken his shoulder and will now be struggling for the Scandinavian Grand Prix in August.
The 33-year-old had already been ruled out of the Speedway World Cup and he admits he is now battling to get back on track.
"It is the second year in a row I haven't been able to represent Denmark in the Speedway World Cup, and that's an extra shame given that the Final is in Denmark," he told his own website.
"It will also be a race against time to be ready for the next Grand Prix in Sweden, but hopefully I will heal faster than the experts predict."
See what has got the Sky Sports experts' tongues wagging over a busy seven days in sport.
