Swindon Robins star Thomas H Jonasson has been banned for the rest of the British season.

The highly-rated young Swede missed Monday's live Sky meeting against Ipswich Witches because of passport issues.

But his non-appearance means the British authorities have slapped a 28-day riding ban on him - meaning he will be out of Swindon's remaining matches.

"By his own admission, Thomas needs to become a more organised rider. He admits that riding in three domestic leagues really is too much and the organisational side of his racing must improve dramatically," said Robins boss Ronnie Russell.

"Thomas remains an integral part of Swindon Speedway's future and I full expect him to feature heavily in our 2011 team building plans.

"Anyone who watched Saturday's Scandanavian Grand Prix will have seen the awesome amount of talent and speed Thomas has.

"As a club, we're sure that if his off-track set-up improves there is no reason why he can't display similar breathtaking form for Swindon next season

"Obviously it's disappointing for Thomas that his 2010 campaign has concluded in this way.

"Having spoken to him I know he feels desperately sorry about letting the Swindon fans down.

"However, the club will ensure that the necessary changes are made to THJ's off-track set-up to ensure future campaigns at Blunsdon aren't hindered by organisational issues."
