Lewis: Painter bust-up
Kevin Painter and Adrian Lewis could be suspended for up to a year after both players were disqualified from the PDC Open Holland Masters on Saturday.
The pair were preparing for their quarter-final clash before an argument broke out resulting in world number 15 Painter having to be escorted from the arena by security.
The scuffle saw both players disqualified from the event and the incident has been reported to the Darts Regulation Authority (DRA).
The PDC have taken a hard line on misconduct after recently inflicting a year ban on Jason Clark and Andy Jenkins with nine months suspended.
'Jackpot' Lewis and 'Artist' Painter could face a similar ban if they are found guilty of bringing the sport into disrepute.
That could mean they miss the most glamorous tournaments of the year - the US Open in May and UK Open and Desert Classic in Las Vegas in June.
