James Wade got the better of Mark Walsh in a final leg shootout to win Sunday's Dutch Darts Trophy event.
The world number three was pushed all the way by Walsh but emerged from the final leg with the victory to make it three Players Championship titles for the season.
Both men had been second round losers in Saturday's event but hit much better form on Sunday, with left-handed Wade also coming through a final leg thriller against Denis Ovens in the semi-finals.
Wade also defeated Adrian Gray, World Championship finalist Kirk Shepherd and youngster Kevin McDine on his way into the final.
Mark Dudbridge and Steve Maish had been put out by Walsh before he added the scalp of Peter Manley in the last four, with superb legs of 11 and 14 darts sending him into the final.
During the final Walsh himself could have taken the title had he not missed the two chances that came his way at tops and double ten, and he was made to pay by Wade.
Wade had to come from behind twice, but missed his 120 finish allowing Walsh his shot, and when that passed him by Wade swooped in to claim the title.
The success for Wade lifts him to second in the Players Championship Order of Merit ahead of Alan Tabern but still way behind a dominant Phil Taylor.
Manley's run to the last four means 'One Dart' will play in the Players Championship Finals in January, while Michael van Gerwen sneaked into the 32nd and final place by making the last 16 in Holland.
