Mark Walsh and Colin Osborne continued their recent good form as they shared the two tournaments on offer in Barnsley over the weekend.
Walsh secured his third PDC Pro Tour event of the year by taking Saturday's Players Championship, while Osborne picked up his first win of 2009 by grabbing Sunday's event.
The Wizard reached the final of the UK Open in Bolton against Phil Taylor last week, and he continued his fine run with a strong showing over the weekend.
Osborne made it to the semi-finals in Barnsley on Saturday, and then went one better on Sunday by making the final courtesy of wins over Kirk Shepherd, Andy Smith, Robert Thornton and Paul Nicholson.
Flying Scotsman Gary Anderson represented a big test in the final, but Osborne was dominant during a 6-2 to bag his third Pro Tour title.
Sunday also saw a welcome return to form for Wayne Mardle as he made the semi-finals after beating Vincent van der Voort and Mervyn King following his recent absence through illness.
Walsh completed a third tournament win of 2009 as he defeated Jamie Caven 6-4 in Saturday's top-quality final.
Walshie squeezed past Andy Jenkins 6-5 in the quarter-finals before coming back from 5-1 down to knock out Colin Lloyd in the decider in the semi-finals.
Caven dumped out Andy Hamilton and Jelle Klaasen before seeing-off former world champion Steve Beaten in the quarters and Osborne in a final-leg decider in the semis.
Derby man Caven now stands a great chance of qualifying for the World Matchplay in Blackpool next month.
