2003 champion Peter Manley booked his place in the Las Vegas Desert Classic at the final attempt as he made it through as one of the final six qualifiers.

Manley lost out in Sunday's first qualifying event, but he returned to the Mandalay Bay 24 hours later to claim a place in the tournament with a win over Holland's Bryan de Hoog in the final round.

Manley is one of 12 men to come through the qualifiers and complete the full field of 32 for the event, which starts on Wednesday, live on Sky Sports.

PDC newcomer Gary Anderson will make his debut in Las Vegas after defeating Sam Rooney 5-1 and also knocking out Mark Dudbridge, while Colin Monk also made it through with a 5-3 win over Ken MacNeil.

New Zealander Phillip Hazel will make his first-ever televised appearance after condemning the unlucky Barrie Bates to defeat in the final game for a second successive day.

Newton through

Two-time semi-finalist in the desert, Wes Newton, saw-off Roland Scholten to get through, while Chorley's Louis Blundell joins his fellow Lancastrian in the main draw.

Three Dutchman made it through on Sunday, with Jelle Klaasen, Co Stompe and Vincent van der Voort joining Raymond van Barneveld in the field.

Lowestoft's Peter Wright will make his debut after winning through and showing the form that has seen him move up into the world's top 100 this year.

Australian 'Wizard' Simon Whitlock continued his superb form as he won through after being undefeated on the Dart Players Australia circuit this season.

Jamie Caven also maintained his rich vein of form with a 5-4 victory over Ireland's Shane O'Connor confirming his place in the line-up.

The draw for the PartyPoker.net Las Vegas Desert Classic will be made on Tuesday evening, with the first round starting on Wednesday.

The PDC's top 16 will be drawn against the 12 qualifiers from Sunday and Monday and four leading north Americans.
