Loffreda: Things improving

During the months and the games that I have been with the team, I think things have been improving. I am happy with where things are going.

Leicester head coach Marcelo Loffreda admits he has no idea if he will still be in charge at Welford Road next season.

The Argentinian's position is in doubt after he failed to bring a trophy to Leicester in his first season in charge.

The Tigers reached two Twickenham finals but lost them both.

Asked after Saturday's Guinness Premiership final defeat by Wasps if he will still be Leicester coach next season, Loffreda said: "I don't know. Maybe I am not the right person to ask those questions.

"Of course I would love to stay here but I am not the person who has to give an answer for that."

Happy

Loffreda insists he is happy with the way the club is heading under his direction. "During the months and the games that I have been with the team, I think things have been improving. I am happy with where things are going," he added.

"After the game I spoke to them about that. At the start of the season we were inconsistent and it was tough but the team began to find their way and began to win the confidence they need because we have the talent and the players.

"I think they achieved that confidence in the last few weeks. Today we were surprised by an excellent team in the first half."
