Rabeni in action for Leicester
Leicester's Seru Rabeni has been banned for an additional nine weeks after admitting playing in three sevens tournaments while serving a 14-week suspension.
The Fijian winger defied the ban he earned for gouging the eye of Saracens hooker Andy Kyriacou in a Guinness Premiership game in March.
That sanction was due to expire on July 7 but a Rugby Football Union disciplinary panel chaired by Christopher Quinlan in Bristol on Thursday evening ruled that Rabeni should be prohibited from playing for a further nine weeks.
The new ban will begin on August 15, and Rabeni will be eligible to return on October 17.
