Evans: New deal
In-form Scotland back Max Evans has agreed to extend his contract with Glasgow until the end of 2011 season.
The 25-year-old has established himself as the club's first-choice outside centre since he arrived at the Warriors with his brother Thom in January 2007.
And his form for club and on the IRB Sevens circuit saw him capped for the first time by Frank Hadden for the international against Canada in November.
"I really enjoy living in Glasgow and I love the atmosphere around the club," said Evans, who was a professional golfer before returning to rugby in 2006.
"My main focus is to be in contention for a place in the Scotland squad for the 2011 Rugby World Cup and playing for Glasgow is going to give me the best chance of achieving that.
"Also, the management at Glasgow are first-class and they all add to improving my game and the overall experience of playing for Glasgow."
And Warriors head coach Sean Lineen believes Evans is crucial to seeing the Magners League progress.
Lineen added: "Max is crucial to Glasgow going forward. He's got the skills and the attitude to go all the way.
"I've been very impressed with his willingness to learn. He's very unique in this country as an outside centre."
