Robertson: Recurrence of injury
Edinburgh will be without wing Mark Robertson and prop Ryan Grant for at least a month after undergoing groin surgery.
The pair were set to go under the knife on Tuesday, with the problem sidelining Robertson for a second significant spell.
The 24-year-old suffered the same injury last season, which delayed his Edinburgh debut until the final day of the campaign.
The Scotland A international has become a virtual ever-present this term season though, starting the opening 11 matches and contributing four tries in the process.
But he has experienced a recurrence of the injury which forced him to miss the Boxing Day clash with Glasgow.
Meanwhile, 23-year-old Grant - who has played for Stirling County this season - has suffered a similar setback and will also undergo surgery.
Edinburgh head physiotherapist TJ Johansson said: "Both Mark and Ryan will have operations to repair lower abdominal injuries.
"We felt the timing was right for the operations to take place and we expect them to back in about a month's time."
