Johnson: Wanted by the Ospreys
Scott Johnson could be set to return to Wales after being approached to take over at the helm of the Ospreys.
Johnson has previously been assistant-coach and caretaker-coach of the Welsh side, while he was part of the Australia back-room staff at the 2007 World Cup.
Since leaving his post with his homeland, Johnson has been coaching the USA Eagles national team.
However the Ospreys have now moved to try and sign the Australian according to USA Rugby's chief executive officer Nigel Melville.
"We can confirm we have received a written request for Scott from the Ospreys," Melville told the Daily Mail.
"That is under consideration and will be put to the board at the earliest available opportunity."
