Bath may have to complete their campaign for the Premiership and Heineken Cup double without Butch James after he was cited for stamping.

The South African fly-half has been summoned to appear before a Rugby Football Union disciplinary panel in London on Tuesday following the incident last week.

James is facing accusations that he stamped on England centre Riki Flutey during his side's midweek defeat to Wasps.

Depending on the severity of the offence, the recommended sanction if found guilty could be a ban ranging from two weeks to at least nine weeks

With two regular season games to play, Bath currently lie fourth in the Premiership and face Leicester in the Heineken Cup quarter-final at the weekend.

Leicester are also waiting to hear whether Julian White will be available for Saturday's crunch clash at the Walkers Stadium after he was sent off over the weekend.

White was handed a fourth red card in seven seasons for punching England team-mate Andrew Sheridan in the Tigers' Premiership win over Sale.

Worcester hooker Chris Fortey will also go before the panel on Tuesday after an alleged dangerous tackle on Harlequins skipper Will Skinner.

Fortey was sin-binned with just three minutes gone in Worcester's 60-14 defeat at The Stoop on Wednesday night.
