Deans: Anticipating Cardiff match
Australia have confirmed their final midweek match on their tour to Britain and Ireland, with Cardiff Blues set to host the Wallabies on November 24.
The match is the penultimate of seven on the tour and will be sandwiched between Test matches against Scotland at Murrayfield and Wales at the Millennium Stadium.
The tour is Australia's first to involve Tests against all four of the so-called Home Unions since their Grand Slam victory in 1984.
The Wallabies have been defeated by Cardiff in all six of their previous matches going back to 1908, including a 16-12 loss during the '84 tour.
"Cardiff is a passionate rugby city, with a proud record, and the Blues have a quality roster," said Australia coach Robbie Deans in a statement.
"It will be tough and uncompromising and give (the Wallabies) another experience, another insight, into what European rugby is all about."
Australia kick off their tour at the end of this month with a Bledisloe Cup match against New Zealand in Tokyo ahead of their first European match against Gloucester at the beginning of November.
Their first European Test match is against England at Twickenham on November 7, a week before their clash with Ireland at Croke Park.
