Leeds Carnegie centre Henry Fa'afili has been banned for three weeks after being sent off for Samoa last weekend.

Fa'afili was red carded for a high tackle on Italian full-back Luke McLean in Samoa's 24-6 defeat to Italy.

The rugby league convert will miss Leeds' Guinness Premiership game against Harlequins and the back-to-back Amlin Challenge Cup matches against Romanian side Buceresti Oaks.

The 29-year-old will be back available for selection for the trip to Newcastle Falcons on Sunday December 27 in the Guinness Premiership.

Fa'afili is in his first season for Leeds since joining from Biarritz on a two-year contract.

Leeds director of rugby Andy Key said: "This is disappointing news for Henry. He has never previously been sent off in his career and he is sorry for his actions."
