Leicester have agreed to sign second row Ben Gulliver on a three-month loan deal from Cornish Pirates.

The 29-year-old was a key member of the Pirates side that went on to win the British & Irish Cup, having previously played for Coventry and Plymouth.

However he has been handed his chance in the Premiership after the Tigers lost Geoff Parling with a neck injury.

"There is no doubt that Ben will benefit from the experience, which is a huge opportunity for him," said Pirates chief executive Rod Coward.
