Tindall: Guilty

England centre Mike Tindall has pleaded guilty to drink driving at Reading Magistrates' Court.

The 29-year-old Gloucester player was pulled over by police on the M4 on March 15, the morning after a day at Cheltenham races.

Tindall, who represented England on the recent tour of New Zealand, admitted to being over the legal limit.

Tindall was bailed to appear before magistrates in Newbury, West Berkshire, on October 24, for a "special reasons" hearing.

His lawyer, Richard Mallett, said a medical expert would be called on that occasion to present the special circumstances of the case.

At the time of the offence, Tindall was out of action with a damaged liver, an injury suffered while playing in the Six Nations against Wales.
