Jones: Pressure is off

Without giving too much away, we feel we have a good game to take them on. We're going to go there and give it our best shot.

Sale Sharks director of rugby Kingsley Jones is raring to go against Saracens on Saturday after an unexpected weekend off.

Sale's home match against London Wasps was postponed on Friday but Jones is confident ahead of the trip to Vicarage Road.

He said: "The boys are keen. There aren't too many tired bodies around the place and they're looking forward to playing against, what will be a very physical Saracens side.

"Without giving too much away, we feel we have a good game to take them on. We're going to go there and give it our best shot."

Saracens, who top the Guinness Premiership table, are undefeated after nine rounds but were held to a 12-all draw at Worcester last time out.

Jones believes his team have nothing to lose against Saracens as they look to build on their first away win of the season against Leeds.

Challenge

"It's a big challenge for us. In one way, we've got everything to gain and nothing to lose against a top team," he said.

"I believe if we start better than we have done previously in away games, we have every chance of doing something there but we're going to have to be at our best."

Jones insists his side can match the fez heads kicking tactics with the pressure off his side.

"Obviously, it's no secret they kick the ball quite a lot, but I feel we have some good tactical kickers," he said.

"Ultimately, you have to go into every game with the mindset of having a go and, particularly in the last week, it's a great opportunity to challenge the best team in the league away from home without too much pressure.
