Carter: Injured
Perpignan fly-half Dan Carter could miss his side's crucial Heineken Cup clash against Ospreys after picking up an injury at the weekend.
The All Black star was replaced at half-time during the Catalan club's 40-14 win over Bourgoin on Saturday after feeling pain in his left Achilles tendon.
He is due to undergo tests on Monday and will sit out training until the extent of the damage is known.
"From the half-hour mark, I felt the pain getting sharper and I thought it wise to go off at half- time," he explained.
"It's frustrating because I wanted to play and the team were playing very well.
"I will take some tests on Monday and we will decide with the staff if it is better that I take some days' rest without training."
Carter however is expected to be fit for Saturday's must-win encounter. Currently in third place in Pool Three, Perpignan trail joint leaders Leicester and Ospreys by six points.
And only victory over the Welshmen will ensure that they remain in contention for a place in the competition's quarter-finals.
