Clermont's experienced forward Julien Bonnaire has been recalled to the France squad, a week after being omitted for the autumn Tests.

Bonnaire was left out by coach Marc Lievremont following his decision not to travel to the southern hemisphere in the summer.

However injury to Stade Français back-row Antoine Burban has opened the door for the 31-year-old Bonnaire to return.

Burban has been ruled out after he injured his thumb during Stade's Top 14 draw at Clermont on Saturday.

Burban joins Castres prop Luc Ducalcon in pulling out of the France squad for the games against South Africa, Samoa and New Zealand.
