Quotes of the week
Brian O'Driscoll insists Ireland have not seen the last of Ronan O'Gara following the fly-half's exclusion from the upcoming clash with South Africa.
The last time O'Gara was dropped for a Test against major opposition was in 2003, when David Humphreys replaced him to start against Argentina for the World Cup pool showdown.
Ireland coach Declan Kidney has now named Jonathan Sexton at number 10 against the Springboks at Croke Park.
Leinster's rising star, who will win only his second cap for the clash, has retained his place following his superb performance against Fiji.
But despite the 24-year-old being given his chance to shine, Ireland captain O'Driscoll is confident that veteran O'Gara will bounce back.
"The management are looking to give Jonathan an opportunity after he proved himself against an under-strength Fiji side," said O'Driscoll.
"It's another chance for him against the world champions. They're two different prospects.
"Ronan will be disappointed to be sitting on the bench but he's a strong character and has shown time and again that he turns up for the big moments.
"We know he's capable of that and this is just a chance for Jonny to prove his worth."

Brendan Benson says...
It's great to see Declan Kidney using common sense and giving the up and coming players a chance at the big time. Lets hope the young guns don't let him down. The top three in the world never had a problem playing their youngsters, I hope the other six nations managers follow suit. Win, Loose or Draw, Well done Declan.
