Habana: Off to WP
South Africa winger Bryan Habana has left the Blue Bulls to join Western Province.
The Bulls confirmed on their website on Tuesday that Habana had rejected their offer of a new deal to join their rivals.
A number of clubs, including French outfits Bayonne and Toulon, had been tracking the 27-year-old - and while WP have yet to officially confirm the deal, the Bulls claim Habana will make the switch.
"The Blue Bulls Company (Pty) Ltd received an email from Mr Bernie Habana on Friday saying that Bryan Habana has not accepted the offer that was made to him by the Blue Bulls," read the statement on the club's official site.
"The CEO of the Blue Bulls Company, Barend van Graan, received an email from Mr Habana on Monday which said that Bryan Habana has received and accepted an offer from the Western Province.
"Please note that at this stage we can't say anything more and we will keep you up to date with the latest developments."
