Cipriani: Melbourne move?
He seemed very interested.
Melbourne head coach Rod Macqueen
Quotes of the week
Wasps fly-half Danny Cipriani is reportedly in talks with Super 15 franchise Melbourne Rebels over a possible move Down Under.
The Rebels - who will compete as the 15th franchise in next season's expanded Super 15 - are keen on recruiting the best overseas talent and head coach Rod Macqueen claims Cipriani is "very interested" in making the switch as his England career continues to stagnate.
Cipriani is out of contract at Wasps at the end of this season and allegedly held talks with the Rebels last week.
Macqueen told The Times: "Danny is obviously the type of player we would like.
"He is a very talented individual and one of the players who has the skill-set that would be suitable to Super 15.
"He seemed very interested."

Go Dan go..............you will become a much better player and England will be begging you back as soon as they realise that Johnson is not the man to take the national team forward.

I think this would be a good move for Cipriani. I don't see him getting a serious look in for England, if he can't make the squad at the moment he never will. Australia has an attitude to talented young players that we never have (could you see Berrick Barnes being selected for England?).
