Tendulkar: Fit again
Sachin Tendulkar will return to action for Mumbai in the Indian Premier League on Wednesday in their game against the Chennai Super Kings.
The Indians' skipper has yet to play in the tournament after suffering a groin injury in the first Test for India against South Africa in March.
"I'll be playing against the Chennai Super Kings scheduled for 14th," he confirmed. "I've worked really hard on my fitness and now I'm fully fit.
"My physio, Dr Niraj Patel, has been continuously monitoring my progress."
Mumbai installed Harbhajan Singh as captain in Tendulkar's absence, but he was banned after just three games for slapping fellow Indian Sreesanth leaving South African Shaun Pollock to lead the side.
Meanwhile, Deccan Chargers have been hit by the news that VVS Laxman will miss the remainder of the tournament with a hand injury.
The India batsman suffered a hairline fracture of the right wrist on May 3 and has missed the struggling Chargers' last three matches.
"I was injured attempting a pull shot," Laxman told the Hindu. "Since then I've not been able to hold the bat.
"After a thorough check up, I've been advised to go for an MRI scan and I won't be able to play for the next 15 days.
"It is all the more disappointing since the injury came when I was getting into the groove."
