Jayasuriya: Recalled
Sri Lanka have recalled veteran opener Sanath Jayasuriya for the Asia Cup in June.
The left-hander was omitted for the recent series in the West Indies after enduring a lean period with the bat.
However he has recently looked back to his very best while playing in the Indian Premier League for the Mumbai Indians.
An innings of 114 from just 48 balls that included 11 sixes and nine fours has convinced the selectors to bring the 38-year-old back into the international fold.
Upul Tharanga makes way for Jayasuriya, who will open the innings with Mahela Udawatte.
There are also places in the party for Farveez Maharoof and Dilhara Fernando. Thilan Thushara and Ishara Amarasinghe have been left out for the fit-again duo.
After being rested from one-day action in the Caribbean, Muttiah Muralitharan is back for the six-nation tournament that will be played in Pakistan.
Sri Lanka Squad: Mahela Jayawardene (capt), Kumar Sangakkara, Sanath Jayasuriya, Mahela Udawatte, Tillakaratne Dilshan, Chamara Silva, Chamara Kapugedera, Kaushal Weeraratne, Farveez Maharoof, Chaminda Vaas, Dilhara Fernando, Muthiah Muralitharan, Ajantha Mendis, Jehan Mubarak, Nuwan Kulasekera
