Xabi Alonso spoke to Revista about the impact of Jose Mourinho's behaviour has had on the team and the disappointment of losing the Spanish Super Cup to Barcelona.
"It was really frustrating not to have a chance to win the trophy, apart from that we felt that in both games we played as well as them, even better. That is a good sign for the future."

Barcelona won 5-4 on aggregate thanks to Lionel Messi's winner with three minutes left at the Nou Camp - but the result was overshadowed by ugly scenes in the closing stages.
"It was hard, when we got that second goal at the Nou Camp we felt we had a chance to score another one," he told Revista.
"But unluckily Messi scored that third goal. It was really frustrating not to have a chance to win the trophy.
"Apart from that we felt that in both games we played as well as them, even better. That is a good sign for the future."
The game was marred by some ugly incidents off the field as Jose Mourinho put his finger in the eye of Barca assistant coach Tito Vilanova as tempers boiled over.
Mourniho has apologised to the Barcelona fans but Alonso says that he has not spoken to the Real Madrid players about what happened.
"We have not talked much about it," added Alonso.
"He knows that what he did was not correct, he has apologised and he has done the correct thing."
Revista also asked if the team has seen a difference in Mourinho this season to last - and Alonso says the only difference is that his desire to succeed is even greater.
"The only difference is that he is really focused, really committed and really intense with himself and the players," he said.
"He wants to build a competitive team and play each game 100 per cent, because each point you drop could be a killer and we don't want to make the same mistakes we made last season.
"The aim is to win titles, but we don't have to just be thinking about that - that is a consequence of the good work you do during the season.
"At this stage we need to be in a position to win as many games as possible and focus on it game by game."
