Pamela Cookey heads the nominees for the coveted Kukri Player of the Year award after leading TeamBath to Superleague championship success this season.

The Birmingham-born skipper led from the front as TeamBath rounded off the Superleague season undefeated following Grand Final victory against the Mavericks.

Loughborough's Jade Clarke and Jo Harten, Mavericks' Naida Hutchinson and the England team co-captain Sonia Mkoloma are also in the category for the season's most prestigious individual award.

England's other co-captain Karen Atkinson, Team Northumbria's Carla Dziwoki, Jade Clarke, TeamBath's Sara Bayman, Glasgow's Lesley Macdonald and Brunel's Becky Nash have all been nominated for the Player's Player of the Year Award.

Nominees for the Rookie of the Year Award include Northern Thunder's Kerry Almond, Ella Clarke from Mavericks and Glasgow Wildcats' Rachel Holmes.

The Co-operative Netball Superleague Player of the Year Dinner also celebrates people involved in the Superleague by dedicating awards to coaches, umpires and volunteers as well as to teams for their community action.

The awards will be handed out at an awards dinner on Friday.
