Ibn Khaldun
Godolphin have revealed that 2,000 Guineas flop Ibn Khaldun is likely to represent them in the Vodafone Derby on June 6.
Last year's Racing Post Trophy winner was well-backed for the Newmarket Classic but could finish no nearer than 10th under Frankie Dettori.
However, connections refuse to accept that was the colt's true running and are hoping he will be able to return to his best stepped up to 12 furlongs at Epsom.
"I am very happy with Ibn. Frankie rode him in work and we were happy, and he will work again next week when we will find out more about him," said trainer Saeed bin Suroor.
"He is much better than he showed in the Guineas and I know from his work in Dubai that he is a class horse.
"He is still in the Irish Guineas and I will talk to his owner but he is more likely to run in the Derby."
