Quotes of the week
The injury-plagued Star De Mohaison looks set for a return to action at Haydock next month.
Barry Simpson, racing manager to owner Sir Robert Ogden, said on Friday that the seven-year-old may compete over hurdles at the Betfair Chase meeting on November 22.
The Paul Nicholls trained horse has run only once since winning the John Smith's Future Stars Chase at Sandown in December 2006.
The 2006 Royal & Sun Alliance Chase winner's last outing was earlier this year, finishing third in a race over the smaller obstacles at Cheltenham on New Year's Day.
"Star De Mohaison is back in training and going well," said Simpson. "It's just fingers crossed.
"We'll probably start him off over hurdles somewhere. We might look at the brush hurdle race at Haydock on Betfair Chase day. That's a possibility."
Simpson also confirmed the imminent seasonal debuts of chasing stars Voy Por Ustedes and Exotic Dancer.
Voy Por Ustedes trained by Alan King, and Jonjo O'Neill's Exotic Dancer are both on course to go head to head at Aintree in late October.
"Voy Por Ustedes will probably go to Aintree for the Old Roan Chase later this month," he added.
"Exotic Dancer might go for the same race, we are delighted with him. It's something I've got to discuss with Sir Robert."
