Hennessy entry: Iris de Balme
Sean Curran hopes to give Scottish Grand National winner Iris de Balme a warm-up over hurdles ahead of a possible run in the Hennessy Cognac Gold Cup at Newbury.
The gelding gave the jump jockey-turned trainer and owner Lee Power a memorable day in Scotland back in April when triumphing at 66-1.
He also won the Kent National and finished fourth in the bet365 Gold Cup a week after his Ayr win.
Next year's Grand National at Aintree remains the long-term aim but Curran is, for now, concentrating on the immediate future.
He said: "I might give him a run in a three-mile hurdle at Warwick next month. He will have an entry in the Hennessy, so we'll see what happens."
