Meeting off due to waterlogged course

Ayr's meeting on Friday has been abandoned due to waterlogging.
Clerk of the course Katherine Self delivered the news following an unsuccessful early-morning inspection on Thursday.
She said: "This is our second consecutive meeting that has been abandoned - it's very frustrating.
"We had a dry day on Wednesday but, unfortunately, another 5mm of overnight rain.
"With another 20mm of rain forecast today, the decision (to abandon) is a no-brainer."
