Nottingham's meeting on Wednesday will go ahead after officials brought forward a planned 7.30am inspection.

Clerk of the course Nick Patton had been concerned over a forecast that predicted low temperatures and the prospect of snow, but arrived at the course to find conditions perfectly raceable.

"We only got down to just under minus one overnight and temperatures are rising now so we are going to be fine," said Patton.

"It's going to be a fine, sunny morning so we were able to bring the inspection forward and we are very much fit to race."
