Trainer Sabrina Harty says the weather will dictate when her smart hurdler Won In The Dark runs again.
Harty's charge is a Grade One winner and was thirds in the Triumph Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival, but was disappointing last time out.
Won In The Dark trailed home last of four in the Maplewood Developments Hurdle at Punchestown on Sunday, a race run by veteran Hardy Eustace.
The heavy going at Punchestown was cited as the reason for Won In The Dark not performing, and the trainer confirmed they wanted better ground for their contender.
County Kildare handler Harty will now be keeping an eye on the weather conditions to determine when her horse will run again.
"We were worried in that ground if he'd be all right, but he seems fine now," said Harty.
"We were doing some schooling and he was squealing out in the same field, so he's happy.
"He's never handled that ground before and we more or less knew he wouldn't, but it was cutting up that much we thought we'd have a go with only four runners.
"We're really wanting good ground - the weather is going to dictate where we are going to go.
"We were lucky that it dried up for him last Christmas and hopefully it will do at some stage."
