Wincanton are to hold an early morning inspection before deciding whether Saturday's meeting will go ahead as planned.
Officials at the course inspected the track on Friday, however with freezing temperatures predicted overnight they have decided to look again at 8.30am on Saturday.
Clerk of the course Barry Johnson said: "We are raceable today, but the one down side is that it could get to as low as minus-three degrees overnight.
"We will give it our best shot in getting the meeting on."
