Sea The Stars
Epsom Derby hero Sea The Stars tops a list of 14 possibles for Saturday's Coral-Eclipse at Sandown.
Trainer John Oxx opted to wait for the Group One feature over 10 furlongs after rain turned the ground too soft at the Curragh ahead of Sunday's Irish Derby.
Last year's St Leger and Breeders' Cup Turf winner Conduit could provide the main opposition and his trainer Sir Michael Stoute may also run Lang Shining, who also represents the Ballymacoll Stud, possibly as a pacemaker.
Cima De Triomphe, conqueror of Conduit in the Brigadier Gerard Stakes at Sandown, may take him on again for Luca Cumani.
International interest comes from Mike de Kock's Archipenko, a Group One winner at Sha Tin and successful in the Zabeel Mile in Dubai earlier this year.
"He's doing well and his preparation so far has been as much as we could ask of him," said Juan Nel, who is overseeing de Kock's Newmarket-based team.
"He's ready to take his chance but it's quite a strong field with the likes of Conduit and Sea The Stars - it's probably his toughest challenge to date."
Rip Van Winkle, who finished behind Sea The Stars in both the 2,000 Guineas and the Derby, heads a list of four entries from the Aidan O'Brien stable, with Malibu Bay, Set Sail and Westphalia also possibles.
Henry Cecil's luckless Twice Over has also been entered, along with the useful Monitor Closely from Peter Chapple-Hyam's yard.
Steele Tango, Jukebox Jury and Tazeez complete the entries.
