Delegator has been bought by Godolphin and will be kept in training as a four year old.
Trained by Brian Meehan, the colt chased home Sea The Stars in the 2,000 Guineas before finding Mastercraftsman a neck too good in the St James's Palace Stakes.
The son of Dansili will now be transferred to Saeed bin Suroor's stable in Newmarket, although new connections have no plans for the three-year-old.
"Delegator is top class and we are very excited to have acquired him," said Godolphin's racing manager Simon Crisford.
"There are no plans at the moment but we will look forward to seeing him racing later in the season and next year as well."
