Conduit remains on course to bid to give trainer Sir Michael Stoute a fourth Japan Cup on Sunday.
The four-year-old will aim to sign his career off on a high note after success in the St Leger, King George and successive Breeders' Cup Turfs.
While Stoute is aware he is asking his colt a tough question, having also run him in the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe, the Freemason Lodge handler has given the colt an easy time since his American jaunt.
"He was a bit lazy this morning - he always is - but he's been through a lot of travelling in a short period," said Stoute, who won the race in 1996 with Singspiel and the followingyear with Pulsudski.
"We always knew that it was a tight schedule, we had to try and get him in good shape after the King George for the three races - the Arc, the Breeders' Cup Turf and the Japan Cup.
"He hasn't done anything too severe between the races because of all the travel.
"It doesn't matter if he races going left or right, he's done well in both."
