Last weekend's Sky Bet Dash winner Hawkeyethenoo has been balloted out of Saturday's bluesq.com Stewards' Cup at Goodwood.

Jim Goldie's sprinter needed six horses to drop out of the six furlong cavalry charge but only four have not taken up the opportunity.

Richard Fahey's Knot In Wood, who has been third twice in the past, has been drawn in stall nine and tops the list of 28 starters although conditional Barry McHugh will take off 3lb.

Also travelling from Fahey's Malton base are Saturday's Ascot winner Castles In The Air (2), the mount of Paul Hanagan, Kaldoun Kingdom (Lee Topliss), Johannes (Martin Lane) and Prime Exhibit (Dale Swift).

Last year's one-two, Genki (25) and Evens And Odds are back again with Ayr Gold Cup winner Jimmy Styles also running.

David Nicholls, who last won the race in 2005 with Gift Horse, saddles Striking Spirit, Evens And Odds and Sonny Red.

Johnny Mudball, Enact and Rileyskeepingfaith are others taking their chance.
