Trainer David Lanigan has reported Meeznah to be in fine form in her build-up to a tilt at Doncaster's Park Hill Stakes next week.

Following a Saturday morning spin on the Newmarket gallops, Lanigan said he was pleased with the filly, who finished second in the Oaks at Epsom and fourth in the Irish and Yorkshire versions.

And with Snow Fairy, who finished ahead in all those races, likely to run in the St Leger the three-year-old looks set to be a leading contender for Thursday's Group Two.

"She worked well, she did everything nicely," Lanigan said. "It wasn't anything special, she just worked with two of her lead horses and she was just asked to go about her business but she did it fine.

"She went up the Peat Moss on Racecourse Side over seven furlongs. She'll head to Doncaster now, I was very happy with her, she seems in good order so the plan is to go there."

Disappointed

Another likely to take up her entry is John Oxx's Roses For The Lady, who finished second behind Sariska in last year's Irish Oaks

"I would say Roses For The Lady is a likely runner in the Park Hill Stakes," said Oxx.

"Obviously, she likes soft ground, which she is not going to get but I would say we are quite likely to run her at Doncaster - it would be nice to get a drop of rain.

"It has been a terribly dry summer here in Ireland and we have had fast ground all the way through. She tolerates it but it doesn't suit her.

"It has restricted her a bit and we were happy to wait for an autumn campaign hoping that the weather would change.

"But there is still no sign of that so we will just have to grin and bear it and let her take her chance.

"She disappointed the other day at the Curragh in the Ballycullen Stakes but she got quite worked up beforehand and didn't run her race.

"If we can keep her a bit more relaxed in the preliminaries this time, hopefully she will return back to one of her better performances."
