Murphy ace primed for Cheltenham test

Ferdy Murphy reports Divers to have worked well during a spin on the gallops on Tuesday morning.
The seven-year-old is a 7/1 chance with Sky Bet for the Spinal Research The Atlantic 4 Gold Cup at Cheltenham on Saturday after an excellent third in the Paddy Power Gold Cup at the track last time.
Following on from his win in the Centenary Novices' Handicap Chase at the Cheltenham Festival it's clear that 2m5f around Prestbury Park is absolutely ideal for the grey gelding.
And his West Witton handler has been delighted with his preparation.
Murphy told skysports.com: "It went well this morning, he worked very well and he's in great form. I couldn't be happier with him.
"Hopefully they won't get any rain down there and the ground should be grand. The race is cutting up nicely and we're looking for a big run.
"He's better on good ground but you don't expect to get it in December. If we get it it's a bonus.
"The weights have gone up which brings others that were out of the handicap into it but he's got a lovely racing weight and we're looking forward to it."
Divers has been entered at Doncaster on Saturday too, but Murphy insists that is purely a precautionary entry in case there is masses of rain down at Cheltenham.
