Colm Murphy will send out his star mare Voler La Vedette for further Grade One glory in the Istabraq Festival Hurdle at Leopardstown on Thursday.

The 12-time winner struck at the highest level for the first time with a brilliant performance in the Hatton's Grace Hurdle at Fairyhouse over two and a half miles on her latest start, and is now set to come back to the minimum distance.

She also had the option of running in Wednesday's woodiesdiy.com Christmas Hurdle over three miles.

Murphy said: "She's in good form and we've decided to go for the two-miler on Thursday.

"It's going to be a good race but we thought she deserved the chance to go for another Grade One."
