Impressive Irish Arkle winner won't be rushed

Peter Casey is in no rush to map out a definite plan for his Irish Arkle winner Flemenstar, although he has confirmed that the horse won't run at Cheltenham this year.
The seven-year-old blew away his rivals in the two-mile-one-furlong Grade One, powering home by 19 lengths from Gift Of Dgab, with the likes of the Blackstairmountain well beaten.
Casey has not entered his stable star at the Cheltenham Festival this year, with the County Meath handler preferring to stay at home with Flemenstar, who has had just seven starts so far.
The Powers Gold Cup at Fairyhouse on April 8 had been mentioned as a possible target but Casey will take his time before committing to his next race.
He said: "It was great to win a Grade One by 19 lengths. I didn't expect him to win by that far but this is a real horse.
"We will have a look at Fairyhouse, but we'll not be going to England this year. We might go to Fairyhouse, but we'll see.
"If things go well, we'll go to England next year, probably for one prep race or something before Cheltenham, just to get a little bit of experience."
