Hawkeyethenoo: Could go for the July Cup or return to Ascot

Jim Goldie is considering having a tilt at the Darley July Cup with Hawkeyethenoo following his fine performance effort at Royal Ascot.

The six-year-old has run some of his best races at the Berkshire venue and turned in an excellent performance to finish a close third in the Wokingham Stakes under Graham Lee last week.

He has yet to compete outside handicap company but that could all change if Goldie decided to step up to Group One level at Newmarket on July 14.

"He's come out of Ascot in good order and we were delighted with him. He's a very good horse," said Goldie.

"He's in the July Cup and he could possibly go there.

"The other option is to go for the International Stakes at Ascot on King George day, so we'll just see what happens."
