Turner: Won aboard I'm A Dreamer

Sky Bet

I'm a Dreamer and Hayley Turner won the Grade One Beverley D. Stakes at Arlington Park on Saturday night.

David Simcock's five-year-old Noverre mare just held on to deny the fast-finishing Marketing Mix in a thrilling finish.

Aidan O'Brien's Up took the lead rounding the home turn but as her challenge faded in the straight it was I'm A Dreamer and Turner who took charge with a furlong to go.

And the line came just in time as Simcock's raider went one place better than on her last visit to North America in the EP Taylor Stakes.

Simcock said: "She quickened up to get there, she quickened up very well and she just held on from the closer."
