Philip Hobbs plans to open the novice career of Bold Henry in the Betfred Best Mate Beginners' Chase at Exeter next Tuesday.
Lightly raced so far, the six-year-old followed home the useful New Year's Eve on his debut under Rules in a Ludlow bumper, and went on to cruise home in a maiden hurdle at the Devon track in May.
"The plan is to start at Exeter in the beginners' chase and we'll see where we go from there," said Hobbs, who will enter his smart hurdler Volador in the Betfred "The Bonus King" Beginners' Chase on the same card.
