Mahmood Al Zarooni is confident that the American-bred Artigiano will run a big race in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf at the weekend.

The Distorted Humour colt has only won once in six starts but he has been narrowly beaten by subsequent Group One winner Olympic Glory in the Vintage Stakes and Steeler in the Royal Lodge.

With the mile trip expected to be in his favour again, a big run is anticipated.

"Artigiano had a break before the Royal Lodge Stakes and has improved for that run," the trainer told www.godolphin.com.

"I was very happy with his performance in the Royal Lodge and I think that a level track like Santa Anita will suit him better. The ground will be fine for him and everything looks to be in his favour at the moment.

"It seems there will be strong European challenge in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf but Artigiano has been consistent all year and has run well against the best two-year-olds.

"We always knew that he was crying out for a mile because he is a nice, big horse and I am hopeful of another good performance."
