Italian veteran Giancarlo Fisichella is confident that he will be part of the Renault setup again next season.
The Anglo-French team have been below-par in this campaign, but Fisichella nevertheless seems reluctant to leave Enstone.
The 34-year-old's contract with Renault expires at the end of the current season and Fisichella says that he wants to be in the cockpit again next year.
"We started the season with a car that wasn't great and still we haven't got the pace. I'm doing my best and I'm working really hard and for that I'm expecting once again to be confirmed for next year," the Roman-born driver told reporters ahead of the Hungarian Grand Prix.
"Soon we'll know - but I don't know when.
"I'm happy. On this aspect, everything is under control and I'm looking forward and really want to race for Renault next year.
"And I'm quite confident. I've done my best but unfortunately the car hasn't been so good."
