Jenson Button and Rubens Barrichello are both confident Honda will put in a better performance in Turkey than they did in Hungary.
Even compared with a woeful 2007 season, during which the team has so far only scored one point, Honda put in a poor performance last time out in Hungary.
While Button retired from the grand prix when his engine stalled, Barrichello finished at the very back of the field, two laps behind race winner Lewis Hamilton.
And although F1 teams have not tested since, both Honda drivers are still hopeful of a better race next weekend at the Istanbul Park circuit.
"The Turkish Grand Prix has quickly become one of my favourite races on the F1 calendar," said Button.
"The track layout is excellent with a challenging combination of long straights, tight hairpins and the very high-speed turn eight.
"The changes in elevation also contribute to making it a fun circuit for the drivers.
"I have had a couple of great races here in the last two years to finish in the top six, and whilst our performance isn't quite there this year, I am expecting an improvement from the last race."
His team-mate Barrichello added: "I know that work has been continuing at the factory to push the development of the car. I am confident that we will have a better race weekend in Turkey."
